This thing just irritates me. The actual chute blocking door is built like a tank, solid as can be. The mechanism that opens the door is strong and seems like it would be reliable. However, the handle that opens the chute is just aggravating. The handle is only about 2’ long. Which causes you to reach a long way to grab it. When you reach you come off the seat and the mower tries to die due to the safety switch. There is a bend in the handle bracket that pushes it 3-4” forward which is completely unnecessary. It could have came straight off of the bracket and been somewhat easier to reach. Also the handle is made of flat bar steel with a pivot point in the middle held on by two bolts. This is uncomfortable to grab and open the door as well as has a bunch of flex in it. This could have been great but the whole handle situation is just plain garbage.

discharge chute
If the question here is about the discharge chute, I can say it performs as expected,,,HOWEVER the installation instructions that came with the chute are a joke---might as well saved the paper it was printed on--non existent---good thing I am a old man with lot of experience with tools and equipment ; a lesser man would have packed up the chute and shipped it back to bad boy,. The chute did NOT fit as close to the deck as I would have liked, but your service man said the small gap is how it was to suppose to fit. Kudos to your service man (Jason??) also finally, when the chute is down, it rakes up the clippings in a row, like a side delivery rake in a hay field ; ready for the baler to come and bale up the hay---But I can live with the little time I need the chute in the down position, so all in all, I am happy with the purchase
