Guys you really need to get your instructions coordinated. It gives you a website to see a vid but then it takes you back to BBMowers & no vid. I had two sheets of paper with it in the box. They don’t match. Parts are called different names so you wonder what you’re supposed to do. I’m a woman with no mechanic experience so…it was difficult, but I finally got it. Makes width of mower more streamlined but it also has the deck covered with clippings a few inches thick. Overall it works
It came with only half the hardware it stated it should have. Had to go get some from the store. Other than that, it is fine. The chute does sit flush against the deck so there is still a lot of blow out than I like to have
Put the chute blocker on cut twice with it and had to remove it and install the original chute.
The plate does not mate up to the deck properly on the top. There's an 1/8"-1/4" gap. This gap allows dirt, clipping, and material to blow out at a high velocity causing me to get covered in material. I tried putting a strip on door/window sealant but the force of the air just blew it out.
The problem: The three holes on the deck where the chutes bolt into need to have been drilled a little further back. This would allow for the plate to mount flush and not at an angle leaving a gap at the top.
As is.........I have a big paper weight sitting in my shop that I can't use.
I can't recommend this product because it doesn't work efficiently. Also, the directions suck. There's a rolling pin in the package but nowhere in the directions does it say when or how to use it. The instructions also show a to exploded views of how the plate should mount to the bracket. SURPRISE! Each view shows the plate being mounted differently. I tried it both ways and only one way works. Very disappointed. Don't purchase this product it does not function as advertised. We'll see if Bad Boy Mowers reaches out to me to make things right.
I understand that this product is not Bad Boy exclusive. It's advertised as a universal part. Bad Boy should not be recommending this as a mulching solution. I'm very happy with my machine but not this add-on.
