I would not have needed this part if the original had not fallen off while I was mowing, oil draining out of the motor as I went. This part is critical because there is no oil gauge to let you know there is a problem, and running the machine without oil can obviously ruin the motor. I only realized the problem when the motor began ticking. Fortunately, I don’t think the block cracked, machine is running as expected, but this should be addressed immediately.
